Mubasher: Saudi Arabia registered imported goods at a total value of SAR 41.88 billion in December 2018, according to the latest data by the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GaStat).
Imports to the kingdom decreased by 2.2% or SAR 924 million in December last year when compared to SAR 42.8 billion worth imported goods in the same month in 2017, GaStat noted.
On a monthly basis, Saudi Arabia’s imports rose by 12.5% or SAR 4.66 billion in December 2018.
Electronics goods topped the list of goods imported by Saudi Arabia with a total of SAR 9.198 billion in December 2018, down 18.6% from SAR 11.29 billion in the same month in the prior year.
China was the top importer to Saudi Arabia in December with a total of SAR 6.77 billion, down 5.2% from SAR 7.14 billion worth goods in the same period a year ago.
